Originally from Milan, Massimo and Elisabetta Tundo landed in Ft. Lauderdale in 2004 with a mission to supply the best Italian fresh pasta to many of South Florida's fine dining and best Michelin-starred chefs on the East Coast. They received a Sofi Silver Award from the Fancy Food show in New York City for their truffled pasta, which is a signature. The duo delivered their first dining concept as “Dal Plin” Italian Eatery in St. Roch Market Miami with its opening in 2018. They handmade their products fresh daily in Ft. Lauderdale and continue to do the same from St. Roch Market in Miami Design District.
Massimo and Elisabetta learned from their families in Italy how to make authentic Italian pasta with recipes passed down through generations, and the couple moved from Northern Italy to Southern Florida to open their own facility. True to their roots, pasta, gnocchi and ravioli are handmade in their gourmet Italian eatery at St. Roch Market. “Dal Plin” features regional Italian dishes with prime, seasonal ingredients. Their menu consists of classics and hidden gems from Italian cuisine, including handmade Plin from Piedmont, handmade fresh Spaghetti Chitarra al Pomodoro, fresh Bucatini Cacio & Pepe, Egg Yolks handmade ravioli with fresh white truffle, Tuscan Gnudi with Parmigiano Reggiano fondue sauce and fresh Italian Porcini mushrooms, along with original dishes such as Ricotta Gnocchi with butter poached lobster, zucchini, and saffron sauce, Risotto alla Milanese, seasonal daily special with fresh fish and organic meat, artichokes soufflé, and eggplant roulade with goat cheese and fresh herbs. They are thrilled to be part of the St. Roch Market foodies "convivio" and love sharing their passion for pasta with the Miami Design District neighborhood.
